A great punk rock and Roll band has sent me something for ears to enjoy. Hope it gets here today for a weekend filled with some much needed new music from my faves.

The last few weeks have been very rough for me. Noticible decline in strength, weakness (is that the same thing?). Can’t keep food down. I want to eat but can’t eat. Crazy. I feel my body has changed, muscles etc. making me dizzy to type this. Jesus Christ this is really starting to suck big time. My honey is away right now and I need her and miss her.

Pictures straight/Gut crooked

I got all the photos rotated straight (I think). They are straight on my iPad so that’s good enough for me…..even though, my brain doesn’t work like that. If they aren’t right on a pc it will drive me nuts till I figure the glitch out. But, for now I’m happy with it. My gut though has felt better days. Just now, I finally got some relief from a gut that hurts so no sad gut pain story tonight. Tomorrow I’m looking forward to my first ever yoga lesson that will hopefully make my morning pain and stiffness better. I want tomorrow to be a good music day. Blast some shit out of this house both inside and out. I am going to try the ‘all zone’ feature on the new amp which will utilize 13 speakers at once and blast everyone in a 2 block radius some motherfuckin punk rock. I think some US Bombs, some Hunns, some Bad Brains, Slayer, and maybe some Circle Jerks would kick it off good. Sunday I’m gonna take my honey out for a little day trip iPod relaxation and love.

Nice vintage Hit Parader from ’78 with great ads and content. Strange time. Lots of Elvis ads for all kinds of swag. Great bathroom read.

The Decline of Western Civilization LP

Original release LP from 1980. Great movie on the LA punk scene featuring the Germs, Circle Jerks, Black Flag, X, Fear and more. Great soundtrack of gritty LA punk. Love the packaging. We need this movie in our library of media. Now you can get all three of the “Decline of Western Civilizatin” movies. I’ve seen this one and the Metal Years but not the third one which I hear is kind of a downer that is about the LA homeless punk scene.

The Suicide Twins ‎– Silver Missiles And Nightingales

Andy McCoy and Nasty Suicide (then known as Nasty Superstar) teamed up for this acoustic album when aucoustic wasn’t cool not doing well. Later down the years its popularity grew. The album title was supposed to be the title for the Hanoi Rocks album ‘Two steps from the Move”, but was changed last minute to the latter. Fans hail this album as a showcase for the writing talent of McCoy and Nasty’s playing style. Kind of an obscure gem. This is an original press.

The Slits – In the Beginning – Picture Disc

Formed in ’76 the Slits were considered avant-garde punk. Their ’79 debut album “Cut” is considered a defining release of the post-punk era. They opened for the Clash on the White Riot tour in ’77 alongside the Buzzcocks. They reformed many times always with Johnny Rottens step daughter, Ari Up on lead vocals. Ari Up died in 2010 shortly after recording a new album with the Slits. This record features a song with Nenah Cherry who joined the group briefly in ’79.

Echo Lounge – Concert Venue (now closed)

A recent quote from MC that went something like “This is the time to use the good shit”, stuck with me. Recently the flint went out in my Zippo, and as I was looking for a bic or something with fire, a came across this match book of saved matches from one of our favorite concert venues, Echo Lounge. Nice little silver box with a few stick matches left. Struck one up and relief for my Kools habit. Been carrying them around for a few days now, each time I strike a match I have a new/old memory of a show we saw there. We saw many. I will try to remember them but I hope MC fills in any that I forgot.

Nashville Pussy (my first time), The Briefs, The Real McKenzies, Yeah Yeah Yeah’s, Icarus Line, Toilet Boys, The Raveonettes, Betty Blowtorch……my mind went blank but I know we saw more bands than that….oh and Black Rebel Motorcycle Clu

We always enjoyed the Echo’s vibe. The cool little back bar with the comfy chairs and couches. Lots of fun memories from there. Getting wasted before Nashville Pussy even took the stage from drinking shots of jagermeister bought by “James Browns bass player”, walking to the next door take out joint for fried catfish so I could maintain enough to see the show. The Toilet Boys was a memorable show. Wild and crazy fun rock and fucking roll. All the shows were good we saw there.

We got to know the owner, Janet, who would often buy a round and shoot the shit with us, After she learned that I was a chef she wanted to talk to me about heading up a kitchen there as they did not serve food and it always seemed to me that was the only thing lacking at the Echo. I put together a nice little menu, made a list of what I needed in small wares, etc and took it to her. Never heard anything about it again. Only later learned she had been operating on a food license to serve alcohol but the risk finally caught up with her and was forced. to close the doors.

Big work day

I have a lot of appraisals to do today. Normally I would look forward to getting out and getting it done and I do still but in the back of my mind I am a little worried about my stamina. I drank a shake and glass of oj this morning so I hope that helps me. I will stop for lunch todsy too. Only 4 appraisals but they are spread out in a wide range. My mind feels strong. I hope my body can.be too today.

Since 2009 I have had a FB page using Musicfilter Goaheadpunk as my name. The other day they said i can’t have that. I begged them to let me keep it or at least the Group i had created. They sent me a link to convert to a page. Can’t get the group back. Fuck them. I will start over and make it better than ever on Perfectenschlag. Asshole motherfuckers. Jesus Christ. Wouldn’t want someone to not know who i was since I only kept to a small circle of friends all of who knew it was me. So stupid. So so fucking fucked up. The time i spent on there all fucked.
