I was working this really old claim from last year and called today to raise hell with them and the message on for the adjuster said “this VM is no longer a part of this system”. So I called the main number for status and was given the newly assigned adjuster’s name and number. I was connected to him. I was a little negative and to the point with the long time gone by and no contact with me. He found the claim and looked at it. He told me he was going to send it to their third party subro reviewer’s to look at. I told him those reviewers cannot handle this properly as I knew from experience. He said “yeh I wish they would let us do those again cause the system is whack”. I was still skeptical so I told him I wanted to explain a few things to him. I went through my speech and he said ok, I get it but I still have to send it off. I said I knew and would be in touch in a few days.

About an hour later, he called me back and said well I have Bad news, Bad news and lastly good news. Here is what he said:

” I HAVE BAD NEWS / BAD NEWS /  AND LASTLY GOOD NEWS

FIRST BAD NEWS/ SENT TO SUBRO

SECOND BAD NEWS/ SUBRO CALLED AND THEY DO NOT LIKE WHAT THEY ARE SEEING, THEY WANT TO NOT PAY FOR THIS AND PAY FOR THAT SO I JUST TOLD THEM THAT SINCE THERE WAS NO PAY STUB ATTACHED TO THE FILE SHOWING THEY ALREADY REPAIRED THE CAR, IT IS LIKELY NEGOTIABLE SO SHOOT THE FILE BACK TO ME AND I WILL SEE WHAT I CAN DO.

GOOD NEWS / I’M JUST GOING TO PAY THE CLAIM. LET ME VERIFY YOUR ADDRESS.”

I could not help but start cracking up laughing. I was almost speechless. I told him that I would have to use that one sometime. He kept professional the whole time. He said he was glad to have some good news for me.
